Tom West is at home in Los Angeles preparing for the upcoming WAA Revolution broadcast from Staples Center. He is mid-workout when his doorbell rings. It is the WAA crew he invited to come over so he could talk about his upcoming match with "Viper" Vinny Gaso.
TW: "So Revolution's coming to L.A. Cool. It fits. There's always something going on in this crazy town day or night, although the best, top of the line stuff is usually going on right here whenever I'm back in Studio City. Because when The Perfect 10 is in town, who cares what's happening anyplace else. Tuesday night, the action's coming with me to Staples Center, as Vinny Gaso finds out the hard way what happens when you get in the way of progress. What happens when you get in the way of The West Agency. You get put in your place, and you get put there hard.
"You see, the tale of 'No Show' Gaso could be a cautionary one for those who might be considering entering this business. Here's a man brimming with talent. Oozing potential even. But it seems 'No Show' Gaso went and got a little full of himself a few weeks back. He went toe to toe with Anthony Phoenix -- who I can tell you firsthand is top-rate around here -- started getting a little cocky and blew off his match preparations. Needless to say, Phoenix handed him his dumb ass when they locked up at Summer Survival. Fast forward to last week's Revolution and 'No Show' Gaso once again gets owned, this time by Sifo. A rookie making his WAA debut. Suddenly, 'No Show' Gaso's down on his luck. His world is crashing down all around him and he's probably not feeling too good about himself, I would surmise -- that means guess, for the hordes of unwashed, illiterate masses that we call 'WAA fans.' He's got to be hungry. He's got to be desperate and perhaps he's got to be doubting himself a little. But he's got to be kidding himself if he thinks his luck is going to change this week.
West's demeanor changes and he begins directly addressing Gaso through the camera.
"Vinny....Mr. 'No Show,' do yourself a favor and pull the hat trick. Mail it in for the third week in a row because it's not really going to matter for you one way or the other. Your loss on Tuesday was signed, sealed and delivered when the match was booked. You had your chance here and obviously, you blew it. You're yesterday's news in the WAA. Old hat. A has-been. Finished. Your best days are behind you while my run of greatness is ongoing and won't stop for a long, long time. Coming out a winner against Phoenix and Patrica have a way of designating you as a player to be watched around these parts. You'll find out soon why I am The Perfect 10. Why I am The Big Ticket, The Box Office's Best Friend and Mr. Ratings. You, on the other hand, are just another victim. I've got nothing but opportunity for gold and glory in front of me, but when I hit The 10 Spot on Tuesday, the only opportunity you'll have is to tell me later how many lights you counted on the ceiling as you lay helplessly on the mat while I picked up the 1-2-3.
"But it doesn't have to be this way, Vinny. Not many know this, but you and your entire Entourage were invited to join The West Agency some time back. The way I see it, until the bell rings for our match at Revolution you and your entire crew can still accept and save yourselves the humiliation and anguish you'll doubtlessly be facing otherwise. You still have the opportunity to run with Rayanne and me and lord over the rest of the WAA. Or you can be trampled underfoot as The West Agency moves on and steps over you on the way to bigger and better things. You can be content to take your guaranteed loss and be half a sentence in the story of what will become wrestling's greatest legacy, or you can stand up, be counted and say you want to have a hand in the most influential organization to make its mark in this business. Either way Vinny, I'll make you famous."
